PASREG 2017
The 10th International Workshop on Processing and Applications of Superconducting (RE)BCO Large Grain Materials (PASREG 2017) will be held in Tokyo (Japan) on December 11-12, 2017.
PASREG 2017 is the tenth in the series of international workshops on the processing and applications of large grain (RE)BCO superconducting materials, intended to bring together scientists active in the field, to enable them exchange ideas and experience in the field, to present achievements on a representative forum, and to co-ordinate further activities. The previous workshops were held in Cambridge, UK. (1997), Morioka, Japan (1999), Seattle, USA (2001), Jena, Germany (2003), Tokyo, Japan (2005), Cambridge, UK (2007), Washington D.C., USA (2010), Tainan, Taiwan (2012), and Liege, Belgium (2015).
We are looking forward to meeting you in Tokyo, Japan in December 2017!

Scope:
The PASREG 2017 workshop will be open for all important aspects of processing and characterization of bulk high temperature superconductors (HTS) and other bulk superconducting materials (including MgB2 and pnictides). The workshop will also highlight materials processing, innovative applications utilizing bulk HTS materials, and recent development in the field. The programme will consist of invited, contributed oral and poster presentations in material science and engineering.

PASREG 2017 topics:
  1. Processing of bulk HTS (e.g. (RE)BCO, BiSCCO) and other bulk superconductors (MgB2, pnictides, etc.)
  2. Characterization of bulk superconductors, including levitation properties
  3. Magnetization and activation techniques
  4. Optimization of critical currents, flux pinning, grain size, strength of materials, etc.,
  5. Bulk-type hybrid and composite materials
  6. Applications of bulk superconducting materials, including trapped field magnets, motors and generators, levitation, flyweel storage, magnetic shielding, fault current limiters, innovative applications (e.g. biomedical etc.,)
